Color Psychology in interior Design

Colors really never existed. Color is the effect of electromagnetic waves registered by our braines and eyes. Colors play a very important role in our daily lives and we simply cannot live without them. Colors creates feeling and moods utilize wisely by designers and home owners, colors can set an appropriate atmosphere in a given space.

Color is an element of light. Different colors create different moods in your home by communicating diverse feelings such as excitement, passion, serenity or mystery. By understanding color theory in interiour design you can create just the right mood you are looking for. It is important to note that each color impacts on different people differently. Many factors can influence these including one’s age, race, culture as well as life experiences. However, people will always repond to color-no matter what. In general, following colors create following psychology effects in the home:

RED is the color of fire, passion, love, danger and strength. This color Stimulates and excites an area. It can be warm and inviting and can make you feel energetic.

BLUE color is widely used in bedrooms because it instills a sense of serenity and peace. The color blue represents cool, quiet and formality.

Tip: It is best use with white or light hues. Avoid using too much blue because it can create a depressing or down feeling.

WHITE is the color of faith, innocence and youthfullness. White color is widely used for it makes a small room bigger, fresher, and livelier.
